Kit review: Fat Lad At The Back ‘She is Fierce’ jersey

Reviewed by Steph

It’s not often I put on a piece of outdoors clothing that makes me feel genuinely amazing, but this jersey does. In fact, I feel pretty darn fierce. It’s also not often I find that clothes overlap between my general taste in clothing and outdoors technical wear, so this is a joy to find.

It’s a long sleeve mid-weight jersey, perfect for mild autumn or cooler summer rides, or for layering up on cooler days. The fabric is pretty soft and feels pretty lovely to wear! I’ve worn it in both rain and sun and it both dries quickly and breathes well.

As a tall rider (5’10, with a long body) it’s also wonderful to find a jersey that’s long enough and doesn’t ride up when I cycle, even on long rides and when I stand up to go up hills. It’s got a silicone hem to help keep it in place and some good size back pockets. It also just fits me really well - as is my general experience with FLAB clothing, they do a lot of work to make sure their clothes actually fit plus size bodies, and it shows.

I’m wearing the size 47 jersey (47 inch bust, 42 inch waist, 51 inch hip) which is a good fit for my measurements (46 inch bust, 41 inch waist, 50.5 inch hip) - it’s pretty stretchy so I know I can easily fit a layer underneath too.

RRP £69.99
