KIT REVIEW : Brasher Women's Stretch Shorts
Reviewed by Steph
These shorts from Brasher (stocked in Go Outdoors, Millets and Blacks) are an affordable option for those who are embracing shorts weather.
FEATURES
These shorts are made from a stretchy fabric which I found comfortable to wear. The fabric has a DWR coating, making them water resistant, which is helpful for showers but won't keep you dry longer term. There are four pockets - two open pockets at the hips, a zipped pocket at the back and a small zipped hip pocket for valuables. My phone fitted in the front pockets fine. There is an integrated belt, but I found it wasn't needed for them to stay up.
SIZE AND FIT
I am a size 20 with a 51 inch hip and 41 inch waist and wore a size 20 comfortably, which the size chart will fit a 47.5 inch hip and 38.5 inch waist. I initially tried the 22 as that is what the size chart was the right size but they were way too big for me. Overall they fit well, though there is a small amount of gaping at the waist at the back.
PERFORMANCE
I found these comfortable to wear and fairly well cut, though a bit more cinching at the waist would be nice. They are mid calf length on me and just about long enough, but I am quite tall (5 foot 10). All in all, I think they're good value for money and seem tough and well made.
